Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondents for committing grave contempt and gross disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.26648 of 2019 dated 18.11.2019.

O R D E R

The writ petition was filed before this Court alleging that the Proprietor of Sri Saravana Tex is running Power Loom and Doubling units without obtaining valid license and permission from the authority.

2. On hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, this Court vide order dated 18.11.2019 directed the authorities to inspect the Unit and if there is any violation of license condition, action should be taken. The writ petitioner has come out with contempt petition stating that the authorities have not taken any action in spite of violation of license condition and thereby committed grave contempt and gross disobedience.

3. In response to the contempt petition, the 2nd respondent has filed a detailed counter wherein it is stated that the Proprietor of Sri Saravan Tex is running his Power Loom and Doubling units in accordance with the license and there is no violation of license condition. It is specifically stated that the license has been granted on 22.11.2019 to the Proprietor of the Sri Saravana Tex to run 2/3

47 Power Looms and 6 Doubling Units. He has obtained necessary permission and NOC from the concerned authorities.
