O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.419 of 2010 pending on his file, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Elumalai and others, he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.419 of 2010 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 427, 447, 294(b), 379 and 506(ii) IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 06.08.2010, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the fact that the FIR is pending from the year https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2010, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.419 of 2010 pending on his file, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
