PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents 1 to 4 from allowing the 5th respondent to conduct the consecration ceremony of Agni Veeranar Alathiyur Amman Temple situated at Mullukurichi Village, Sendurai Taluk, Ariyalur District, which is going to be held on 01.02.2021 and consequently direct the 4th respondent to take appropriate action against the 5th respondent for his illegal activities and creating law and order issues among the villagers of Mullukurichi Village, Sendurai Taluk, Ariyalur District.

This writ petition has been filed seeking for police protection in order to conduct the consecration ceremony of the temple.
2.When the matter came up for hearing on 29.01.2021, this Court passed the following order:
"1.This writ petition has been filed seeking for police protection in order to conduct the consecration ceremony of Agni Veeranar Alathiyur Amman Temple, Mullukurichi Village, Sendurai Taluk, Ariyalur District.
2. According to the petitioner, the fifth respondent is creating a problem and if a peace meeting is conducted by the first or second respondent, some understanding can be arrived at and the festival can be conducted.
3.The second respondent is directed to call the parties immediately and conduct the peace meeting and ensure that the consecration ceremony is undertaken in a peaceful manner.
4..Post this case under the caption "for reporting compliance" on 02.02.2021."
