PRAYER: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to make payment of Rs.81,37,704/- to the petitioner for the work executed by the petitioner in pursuant to the work order in Na.Ka.No.510/2015/A1 dated 11.11.2015 on the file of the fourth respondent with interest. ORDER
Mr.R.Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 2 to 4. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. In pursuant to the work order dated 11.11.2015, followed by the proceedings of the first respondent dated 18.01.2016, the petitioner made a representation on 21.01.2017 inter alia alleging that despite the work having been completed, the amount due to them has not been paid. Seeking aforesaid payment, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though a larger relief has been sought for, it would suffice if the fourth respondent is directed to dispose of the pending representation dated 21.01.2017 within a reasonable time.
4. The learned counsel appearing for respondents 2 to 4 submits that pending representation would be considered by the fourth respondent and appropriate orders would be passed.
5. Accordingly, the fourth respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 21.01.2017 made by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
