Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to measure and fix the boundaries of the lands of the petitioners in S.F.No.611/3BN1A (Part) situate at Thenpattinam village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram by considering their application dated 22.01.2018 within a stipulated period. Mr.S.Ramya Revathy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioners seek for a Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider their application dated 22.01.2018, wherein and whereby, they have sought to measure and fix the boundaries of their lands in S.F.No.611/3BN1A (Part) situate at Thenpattinam village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram.

4. The grievance of the petitioners is that the said application has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioners dated 22.01.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
