ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Challenging the order of the first respondent dated 04.12.2000 and for a consequential direction to the respondents to complete the formalities for the allotment of the lands comprised in Survey Nos.18/3B, 51/IA5, 51/IA1C, 54/IB and 55/1 in Seevaram village and Survey Nos.223/4B, 226/13-A, 53/10 and 53/11 in Perungudi village in Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District in favour of the petitioner Association, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner reports no instructions. In view of the fact that the matter is pending for about 17 years, we are not inclined to keep this writ petition pending any longer. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to file appropriate petition, if so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
