O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the learned VII Additional Family Court at Chennai to dispose the maintenance petition filed by the petitioners bearing M.C.No.430 of 2017. 1/4

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have filed a maintenance case in M.C.No.430 of 2017 and the first petitioner has also filed a divorce petition in O.P.No.964 of 2016 against the respondent. Both the cases are pending for cross examination of the respondent, however, the respondent is not appearing before the trial Court for subjecting himself for the cross examination. Therefore, the present petition has been filed.

3. In such circumstances stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the fact that the Divorce petition is filed in the year 2016 and the maintenance case is of the year 2017, both the cases are five year old cases, this Court, directs the learned VII Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose both the cases as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
