The relief sought in this writ petition is to issue a mandamus directing the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from the History Sheet opened by the second respondent on 04.07.2013 maintained by the third respondent. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that
only three cases were registered against the petitioner, however, due to personal vengeance, the third respondent has shown 5 cases registered against him and requested the second respondent to open history sheet in his name. Hence, the petitioner sent representations to the respondents to remove his name from the history sheet. Finding no response on the same, he has come up with this writ petition for the aforesaid relief. 3.On the other hand, the learned Government counsel appearing for the respondents seriously opposed the relief sought herein. According to him, the petitioner has committed various offences and so far, eight cases were registered against him. He has also produced a copy of the communication dated 02.08.2021 sent by the third respondent, wherein, the cases registered against the petitioner have been tabulated. 4.
Heard both sides. It is seen from the communication sent by the third respondent that the petitioner was said to have been involved in various offences, for which, 8 cases were registered against him viz., Crime Nos.269/2021, 281/2015, 354/2011 and 427/2012, on the file of Manalmedu Police Station, Crime No.236/2018, 182/2018 and 65/2018, on the file of Mayiladuthurai Police Station and Crime No.354/2010, on the file of Sirkazhi Police Station. Therefore, the prayer made by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court.
5.Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
