This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 23.12.2022 wherein the petitioner has requested to draw a fresh panel for the post of Forester by including the promotees along with the direct recruits.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is working as a Forest Guard. A panel was drawn for the post of Forester on 20.12.2022. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent while preparing this panel excluded the promotees and included only the direct recruits to the post of Forest Guard. Hence, a representation was made by the petitioner on 23.12.2022 and since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed seeking appropriate direction.
3. Heard Mr.S.Mani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration the limited relief sought for in this writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 23.12.2022 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
