ORDER

The prayer in the present petition is to direct the Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose the M.C.No.427 of 2017 along with O.P.No.2068 of 2013 and O.P.No.4505 of 2016.

2. The criminal proceedings in M.C.No.427 of 2017 and O.P.No.2068 of 2017 and O.P.No.4505 of 2016 are distinct and cannot be taken up together for trial. Nevertheless, it is now brought to my notice that the trial is almost completed in the OPs but the same has not been disposed of in view of the pendency of the maintenance case. Since both proceedings are distinct, it would be appropriate that the trial Court expedite both proceedings independently. It is brought to my notice that there is an order by this Court to expedite the Maintenance Case.

3. In view of the fact that the trial is almost completed in Ops., the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruvotriyur, shall expedite the proceedings in O.P.No.2068 of 2013 and O.P.No.4505 of 2016 and complete the same, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
