Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to defreeze the petitioner's saving bank account bearing Account No.SB500101013022459 in light of the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2024.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for direction directing the third respondent to defreeze the petitioner's saving bank account bearing Account No.SB-500101013022459.

It is seen that on the request made by the fourth respondent, the third respondent freezed the saving account of the petitioner. Thereafter, the fourth respondent by his communication dated 31.01.2024, requested the third respondent to mark lien only Rs.42,000 and release the entire amount. Accordingly, the third respondent by its communication dated 02.02.2024, informed the petitioner that his account has been defreezed by holding of Rs.42,000/- as per the instruction given by the fourth respondent.

In view of the above, the petitioner is permitted to operate his account by holding a sum of Rs.42,000/-. However, the fourth respondent is directed to verify as to whether the lien marked in the petitioner's account will require to be continued and instruct the third respondent accordingly, within the period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
