Respondents (R5 & R6 impleaded vide order dated 10.11.2016) Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction a sum of Rs. 9,41,19,546 (Rupees Nine Crores Forty One Lakhs Ninteen Thousand Five Hundred and Forty Six only) including 10% escalation charges for 2010-2011 for purchase of the furniture mentioned therein from M/s. Tansi Furniture Works, for use of the Subordinate Courts including the Courts in

Chennai City, within stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

Rita Chandrasekar COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the parties submit that compliance of the earlier orders was made, but only handing over of the land by the Transport Corporation, as per the direction of this Court dated 25.03.2021, was pending.

2. Learned Counsel appearing for the Transport Corporation submits that land has already been handed over to the High Court in compliance to the order aforesaid. The prayer is now to close the writ petitions.

3. The fact aforesaid has not been contested by learned counsel appearing for the High Court or other parties.

4. Recording satisfaction of the handing over of the land pursuant to the order dated 25.03.2021, we order to close the writ petitions. However, keeping it open for the High Court to suo motu take cognizance with regard to any other issue to be taken up in the given circumstances for better administration of the affairs of the High Court and Subordinate Courts. There will be no order as to costs.
