O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 26.12.2022 wherein the petitioner has sought for appointment as Grade-II Constable.
2. Heard Mr.G.Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents.
3. It is seen from records that the petitioner had applied for the post of Grade-II Constable in the year 2012. He wrote the written examination and also participated in the physical test. However, since a criminal case was pending against him, the candidature of the petitioner was not considered. It is the further case of the petitioner that subsequently the petitioner was acquitted from all charges and his acquittal was held be ""Honourable Acquittal". 2/4
4. In view of the above, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent seeking for appointment as Grade-II Constable based on the 2012 selection.
5. In the considered view of this Court, the selection was conducted long back and subsequently, many selections had taken place. Therefore, the petitioner cannot be permitted to seek for selection to the post of Grade-II Constable for which he applied in the year 2012 and that too, when the petitioner is now aged about 34 years. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
