ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2022 to permit the renewal of the permit and pass Order to take appropriate action as per law.

The case of the petitioner is that during Covid-19 pandemic situation, due to the restrictions imposed by the Government and without income, the petitioner was unable to apply for renewal of the permit for his vehicle within the time. In this regard, the petitioner has also submitted to the respondent and the same has not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent on instructions submitted that the representation of the petitioner has in fact been considered and the petitioner was requested to appear before the concerned authorities to pay the taxes and obtain the necessary permit from the authorities.

4. In such view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to appear 2/4

before the Regional Transport Officer and pay the taxes as demanded by the respondent vide his letter dated 09.01.2023 in Na.Ka.No.A3/61342 /2022 and on such payment, the respondent shall issue the necessary certificate.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
