ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for quashing the S.T.C.No.2485 of 2015 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Puducherry against the petitioners/accused herein for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 138 and 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 as Amended By Banking Public Financial Institutions and Negotiable Instruments Laws (Amendment) Act 55 of 2002. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. Today, when the case was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has filed the Memo dated 06.07.2021 on behalf of the petitioners stating that the second petitioner/Chairman & Managing Director of the first petitioner/Company died on 26.12.2018, the death certificate issued by the Registrar (Birth/Death), Corporation Ward 97, Coimbatore, and the copy of the death certificate was produced before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the same was recorded. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition.
3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as abated.
Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
