This Application has been filed by the applicant praying to extend the period for completing the arbitration proceedings and pass an award as contemplated in the order of this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that this Court vide its order in O.P.No.80 of 2021 dated 26.08.2021, extended the time to complete the arbitral proceedings for a period of six months from the date of that order. The time period of said six months extended by this Court is likely to be expired shortly. Hence, the learned counsel prayed this Court to extend further time for completion of arbitral proceedings and passing of award.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respective respondents submitted that they have no serious objection to this application being allowed.

Considering the reasons stated by the applicant in the affidavit filed in support of this application and having regard to the above submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is inclined to allow this Application. Accordingly, this Application is allowed and the time for completion of arbitral proceedings and passing of award, is extended for a further period of six months. The learned Arbitrator is directed to complete the arbitration proceedings, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 22.02.2023 mrr 2/3
