O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 147, 452, 342, 419 and 380 IPC in Crime No.1021 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation is that totally 15 accused involved in this case. The petitioner along with other accused impersonated as Police Official and entered into the house of the defacto complainant and made life threat to the defacto complainant and stolen a sum of Rs.12 lakhs. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not indulged any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner is a history sheeter. He would further submit that he was involved in eleven previous cases. Therefore, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the offence committed by the petitioner and taking note of the submission that the petitioner is a history sheeter and that there are eleven previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
