O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed praying to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the order dated 15.04.2014 passed by this Court in W.P.No.29602 of 2013.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate produced a copy of the Government Order vide G.O.(D).No.156, dated 03.07.2017, clarifying the earlier Government Order vide G.O.(D) No.146, dated 23.06.2017, whereby, benefits have been extended to the petitioner from 01.07.2006 by regularizing his services with effect from 01.01.1983, declaring his probation from the Afternoon of 31.12.1984, Selection Grade/Special Grade with effect from 07.03.1994/07.03.2004, respectively, and fixing his pay with effect from 01.01.1983. Further, it has been decided to sanction Pension/Gratuity/Family Pension due to the petitioner with effect from 01.07.2006, taking note of his total years of service as 25 years 4 months and 9 days.

The Government Order vide G.O.(D) No.156, dated 03.07.2017 has been clarified vide letter dated 06.07.2017 by the Assistant Divisional Engineer

(H), Construction and Maintenance, Kuzhithurai to the Accountant General, Chennai, in order to enable him process the dues to the petitioner. 4.

In view of the above, this Contempt Petition is closed and the contemnor is discharged. This Court directs the respondents herein to extend the terminal benefits due to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
