This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to initiate action against the third respondent, the Chairman Edzhalaikainadu Town Panchayat, Kancheepuram District, for the irregularities and corruption committed by him in the Edzhakainadu Town Panchayat.

The relief sought for in the Writ Petition is to take action against the third respondent, the Chairman of Edzhalaikainadu Town Panchayat, Kancheepuram District. Perusal of records reveals that the Writ Petition has been filed in the year 2015 and the tenure of the elected body is already over. Therefore, nothing survives in this Writ Petition, for further adjudication. 3.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
