ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 20 (b) (ii) (B) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substance Act, in Crime No.85 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner is the sole accused in this case. It is alleged that when the respondent police conducted the investigation they found the petitioner was in possession of 350 grams of Kancha and thereafter the petitioner ran away from the scene of occurrence. Hence, the respondent police registered the crime after following mandatory procedures.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was in possession of 350 grams of Kancha and ran away from the scene of occurrence. Hence he opposed grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
