Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the third respondent to produce the body of petitioner's husband Jayaseelan, son of Subramani, aged about 42 years, before this Court and to set him at liberty.

(Order of the Court made by S.TAMILVANAN,J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner/wife of the detenu Jayaseelan, son of Subramani, aged about 42 years, to cause production of her husband, before this Court and to set him at liberty.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court that the detenu/husband of the petitioner was detained by the police officials on suspicion and that a cash of Rs.85,00,000/- which was stolen, was carried in the Tata Indica car to which the detenu was the driver. 3.In respect of theft or robbery, we make it clear that the respondents can proceed with the same, according to law. It is open to the petitioner to work out her remedy before the appropriate forum, if need be.
