ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the records relating to the order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.67610/Cimpai 2(2)/2010 dated 27.04.2012 as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently to direct the respondents to retire the petitioner with all service benefits and terminal benefits with interest, award costs

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the action taken against the petitioner was dropped vide G.O.(D) No.31 Health and Family Welfare (1-2) Department, dated 08.01.2014. A copy of the said order has also been served to the petitioner and the relevant portion of the said order is extracted hereunder: "3. The Government have examined the charges framed against Tmt.G.Rajam, her defence statement and the findings of the Inquiry Officer carefully and independently along with all the connected records. Accepting the findings of the Inquiry Officer, the Government held both the charges framed against Tmt.G.Rajam as not proved and decided to drop further action on the charges framed against her. Accordingly, the Government do and hereby order that further action on the charges framed against Tmt.G.Rajam, formerly Superintendent, Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai and then 2/4

Administrative Officer (Retd.), at Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, Chennai, in the charge memo first read above, be dropped."

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
