O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.12.2025 and take further action against the private respondents, in the manner known to law.

Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 & 2. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Notice to respondents 3 to 5 is dispensed with inasmuch as no order prejudicial to their interest is passed. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, a septuagenarian, was cheated by respondents 3 to 5 to the tune of Rs.4 lakhs. He further submitted that when the petitioner insisted the private respondents to return the money, they threatened him with dire consequences. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 30.12.2025, seeking action against the private respondents. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for respondents 1 & 2, submitted that based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2025, an enquiry is being conducted by the second respondent in C.No.03/L2PS/DPO/ALR/2026 dated 05.01.2026 and the same is still pending.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court directs the second respondent police to complete the enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2025, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
