ORDER

Mandamus is sought for by the petitioner to dispose of the representation, dated 02.04.2012 submitted by him to the first respondent-District Collector, praying to cancel the patta which has been wrongly granted to one Mari and Periyasamy and to assign the same in favour of the petitioner. The representation was addressed to the first respondent, who in turn has forwarded the said representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi, by proceedings, dated 19.08.2013, for necessary action and report. According to the petitioner, till date, no action has been taken on the said representation.

Therefore, as per the direction of the first respondent, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi, is directed to take action on the said representation and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the concerned parties and giving an opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, including the above said persons in whose name the patta as of now stands and intimate the action taken on the said representation to the petitioner and also forward the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

action taken report to the first respondent-District Collector. The above exercise shall be completed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, as expeditiously as possible. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
