O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) This petition has been filed to extend the time in complying the condition Nos.(i) and (ii) in E.M.P.No.586 of 2020 on the file of the II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.
2. The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.06.2020 for the alleged offence under Section 294(b), 269, 353, 506(i) IPC and Section 4(1)(a) of TNP Act in Crime No.554 of 2020 by the respondent police, seeks bail.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was granted bail on 17.06.2020 by the II Metropolitan Magistrate at Egmore, Chennai on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.5,000/- and shall produce two sureties within 30 days of lifting of lockdown. However, the petitioner was unable able to produce the sureties due to his health issues and COVID-19 and not able to comply with the conditions imposed by the Court. Therefore, he prays for extension of time for executing the bail bond as ordered by the court below. 2/4

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is ordered with cost and two weeks time is granted to the petitioner to surrender and execute the sureties as ordered by this Court, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to pay a cost of Rs.5,000/-[Rupees Five thousand only] to the Madras High Court Advocate Clerks' Association, High Court Madras, Indian Bank, High Court Branch, A/c.No.484077244 IFSC.No. IDIB000M157, failing which, the petition for bail shall stand automatically dismissed. 4.This miscellaneous petition is ordered accordingly. 05.02.2021 kal 3/4
