Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 5th Respondent to effect the mutation entries in favour of the petitoiner in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.74/2A in Puthagaram Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai District measuring an extent of 840 sq.ft. of 2082 sq.ft. based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2019.

(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing 5th respondent Tahsildar to effect mutation entries in the revenue records in favour of petitioner.

2. Earlier, when the matter came up for hearing, it was stated that based on the representation filed by the petitioner, the 5th respondent had fixed the enquiry on 13.02.2020. Hence, the matter was adjourned.

3. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that the enquiry is already over and the 5th respondent Tahsildar had concluded the enquiry. But, so far, he has not passed any order.

4. Considering the fact that the enquiry was over, the 5th respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
