ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to provide access to the property of the petitioners in Survey No.39/ 1A Annadhanapatti and 96 /2 Kandampatti from the northern side by provision of a service lane through the pillars of the Butterfly Bridge running South to North abutting their property.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that due to the construction of Butterfly Bridge in Salem Chengampalli Section of NH-47, the petitioners are required to travel 3 kms North to South in the Butterfly Bridge and has to take U turn at Naikkarapatti and again have to travel 3 kms South to North to reach their property. Therefore, the petitioners have made a representation to the respondents to provide a service lane through the two pillars to the east of their property from the North. Though an inspection was conducted on 14.10.2009, there was no action taken by the respondents.

Therefore, the petitioners have made another representation on 02.09.2018 in this regard to the respondents. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 5 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 5 and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court directs the respondents 2 to 5 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight
