This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 09.09.2019 and to promote the petitioner to the post of Associate Professor. 2.
The case of the petitioner is that he is working as a Assistant Professor in the respondent University. According
to the petitioner, the 3rd respondent has announced a career advancement scheme for which applications were invited from the qualified persons. The petitioner has also submitted an application through proper channel. The grievance of the petitioner is that similarly placed persons had also submitted applications to the 3rd respondent and the same was scrutinized and selection process was also conducted by the 3rd respondent for the post of Associate Professor. However, the petitioner has not been called till date and the petitioner is not even aware as to the status of his application. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representations to the respondents to give the status of his application and to consider him for promotion. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court, seeking for appropriate directions. 3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 4.
Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 09.09.2019 and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 3rd respondent along with copy of earlier representation dated 09.09.2019 and also a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
