This petition is filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, to condone the delay of 279 days in filing the Criminal Appeal of the sentence passed in judgment dated 28.09.2021 in S.C.No.30/2019 on the file of Sessions Court (Fast Track Mahila Court) Tiruvarur.

2. Mr.S.Sugendran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice of the respondent and he did not raise any serious objection and this Court is satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition. Hence, the petition is allowed.

3. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if it is in order, and list the matter after four weeks.
