This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register FIR on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 17.12.2013.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.
3. Learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submits that the police have not received the complaint dated 17.12.2013 said to have been given by the petitioner.
4. The petitioner has also not enclosed any proof of having given the complaint to the police. On reading of the complaint dated 17.12.2013, it does not disclose commission of cognizable offence, inasmuch as, even the date on which, the alleged incident of setting fire to the crop of the petitioner has not been disclosed.

5. Hence, no positive direction can be issued to the police to register FIR and this petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedies in the manner known to law.
