Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2016 and also 06.03.2017 along with documents pertaining to educational qualification and other requisite documents, requesting the respondents herein to appoint the petitioner in any post in the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company Limited (TNEB) on compassionate ground and to settle the final disbursement in respect of my husband Thiru.V.Robert Kennady, who had expired on 28.03.2016, so as to enable me to run mu livelihood without any difficult after my husband's death on 28.03.2016, within a time frame.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to dispose of the writ petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2016 and also 06.03.2017 in respect of the claim of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment.

2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner states that the husband of the writ petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

late. Thiru.V.Robert Kennady was employed as Line Inspector in the respondents organization and expired on 28.03.2016.

3. On account of the sudden demise of the deceased employee, the family is in indigent circumstances and unable to meet out their day to day expenditures. Under these circumstances, the writ petitioner submitted an application seeking compassionate appointment in accordance with the terms and conditions of the scheme. However the application is yet to be considered. Thus without going in to the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the writ petitioner seeking compassionate appointment and pass orders on merits, in accordance with law and by following terms and conditions of the compassionate appointment scheme within the period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of the application and relevant documents along with the order passed in this writ petition.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
