Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the body of the detenu Mangal Bahadur, S/o.Beer Bahadur, aged about 41 years, before this Court, who is now detained at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, in pursuance of the order passed by the first respondent in Cr.M.P. No.19/2014 dated 03.12.2014 under Act 14/82 branding the detenu as "Sexual Offender" to call for the records and to quash the same and to set the detenu at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN,J.) The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu Mangal Bahadur, S/o.Beer Bahadur, aged about 41 years, has come forward with this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition challenging the detention order in Cr.M.P. No.19/2014 dated 03.12.2014 passed by the first respondent against her husband branding him as a "Sexual Offender" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the first respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 03.12.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.1085, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XV] Department dated 16.02.2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
