O R D E R

This petition has been filed to call for the records in C.C.No.185 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kancheepuram and to quash the proceedings as far as these petitioners are concerned.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).

3.It is brought to the notice of this Court that the case is now at the stage of framing of charges under Section 240 of Cr.P.C. and copies have already been served on the accused persons. Hence, liberty is granted to the petitioners to move an application seeking for discharge under Section 239 of Cr.P.C. The same shall be considered by the Court below on its own merits and in accordance with law. The petitioners shall be represented through a counsel till final orders are passed under Section 239 of Cr.P.C. Depending upon the order passed, the Court below can insist for the appearance of the petitioners.

4.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
