Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Teachers Recruitment Board to select and appoint the petitioner as Special Teacher in Physical Education pursuant to Notification No.05/2017, dated 26.07.2017 under the MBC/DNC T category against the 20% of the posts reserved for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) candidates under Act 40 of 2010 taking note of the fact that the petitioner has secured 60 marks in the written examination held on 23.09.2017.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Teachers Recruitment Board to select and appoint the petitioner as Special Teacher in Physical Education pursuant to Notification No.05/2017, dated 26.07.2017 under the MBC/DNC T category against the 20% of the posts reserved for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) candidates under Act 40 of 2010 taking note of the fact that the petitioner has secured 60 marks in the written examination held on 23.09.2017. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made representation dated 19.04.2025 to the respondents seeking to select and appoint the petitioner as Special Teacher in Physical Education, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2025 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable 2/4

time frame.

4.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petition is disposed of.
