ORDER
The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consder the petitioner's representations dated 28.02.2022, 16.05.2022 and 05.01.2023 and thereby direct the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the Document No.30/1999 dated 31.08.1998 on the file of the 4th respondent stands in the name of Late.Mani.
2. The petitioner had given representations on various dates such as 28.02.2022, 16.05.2022 and 05.01.2023 to conduct an enquiry and to cancel the document No.30/1999 dated 31.08.1998.
3. In this regard, even though according to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, enquiry was conducted by the third 2/6
respondent, no order so far has been passed. Therefore, seeking a mandamus to the official respondents to pass orders on the said representations given by the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Heard Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents, who would submit that, enquiry has already been conducted and soon orders would be passed and in this regard, a reasonable time could be given to the respondents, he contended.
5. In view of the orders going to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the private respondents is hereby dispensed with.
6. In view of the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order: That there shall be a direction to the second respondent to complete the enquiry, if it is not completed, on the 3/6
representations given by the petitioner dated 28.02.2022, 16.05.2022 and 05.01.2023 and in this regard, after giving an opportunity of being heard to both the petitioner as well as the private respondents, necessary orders to that effect on merits shall be passed by the second respondent within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
