The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd and 4th respondents with regard to correction of wrong entry as St.Thomas Mount Panchayat in S.No.255/8 Part extent 004.70 ares (5061 Sft) situated at Okkiyam Thuraipakkam, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District by considering the representation dated 04.11.2022.

It is the case of the petitioner that, the property situated at S.No.255/8 Part extent 004.70 ares (5061 Sft) situated at Okkiyam Thuraipakkam, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District is the ancestral property of the petitioner which was inherited by him and he is the absolute owner of the same. While so, in the revenue records it has been wrongly entered that the property belongs to the St.Thomas Mount Panchayat and therefore, in order erase the entry and set right the records, the petitioner has given a representation dated 04.11.2022 to the 4th respondent Tahsildar. Therefore, in order to consider the said representation and to pass necessary orders thereon within a time frame, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.R.Chandrasekaran learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 2 / 4
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that, the said representation would be considered and decided by the 4th respondent on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer and having regard to the said submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order. " That there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.11.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
