The petitioner stands accused in Crime No. 265 of 2024 on the file of respondent police for the offences under Sec.126(2), 296(b), 125, 309(4), 311, 351(3) of The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. He was arrested on 23.12.2024. The specific allegation against him is that the petitioner demanded money from the defacto complainant for consuming alcohol, on his refusal, he said to have abused him and robbed a sum of Rs.1000/- from him.
