O R D E R

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to provide police protection for the petitioner to access and work in Plot Nos.60A and 60B in Venkateshwara Nagar, 20th Street, Kottivakkam, Chennai - 600 041.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father-in-law had purchased Plot No.60A and Plot No.60B and executed a sale deed in favour of his daughters, namely, the wife and sister-in-law of the petitioner. When the petitioner visited the above plots for fencing the same, some third parties tried to enchroach upon the property and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

restrained him from entering into the plots. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adyar, thereafter, it was forwarded to the second respondent Police. The petitioner has produced the necessary documents to show that they purchased the above said plots and the patta also stands in their name. The petitioner has also made a representation dated 28.12.2021 to the first respondent seeking to register an F.I.R. against the enchroachers of Plot Nos.60A and 60B and to provide police protection to access and work in the said plots. Since, no action was taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court grant liberty to the petitioner to fence the above said plots and the respondent Police shall give necessary protection for the same.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
