O R D E R
Mr.G.Venkatesan, learned counsel accepts notice for the respondent and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this matter, even at the stage of admission. Hence, by consent the following order is passed.
2. The petitioner claims to belong to Fisherman community. He has sought a mandamus directing the sole respondent being the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board to issue an allotment order in respect of Plot No.26, first floor, Block No.23, Nochikuppam, Chennai ('property'/'property in question').
3. In fact, his prayer is only for consideration of representation filed by him on 13.02.2023, wherein the same request as made in this Writ Petition has been made before the authority.
4. Learned counsel for the respondent would accede to the receipt of the representation, particularly seeing as the acknowledgement for receipt of the same has been placed in the compilation accompanying the writ affidavit. He would also have no objection to the mandamus being issued for disposal of the representation.
5. Hence, a direction is issued to the respondent to hear the petitioner and dispose representation dated 13.02.2023 in accordance with law and all prevailing rules and regulations, within a period of six (6) weeks from today.
