PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus to quash the impugned notice dated 06.01.2026 (served on the petitioner on 09.01.2026) issued by the respondents under Sections 56 and 57 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 and consequently forbear the respondents from taking any coercive, demolition or sealing action in respect of the petitioner's property bearing Door No.205, Mudichur Road, West Tambaram, Chennai-600 045.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. Though number of grounds have been urged, it is apparently clear that the petitioner has an alternative efficacious
remedy of filing statutory revision under Section 80A of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971.
3. The petitioner's apprehension that no interim order may be passed is misplaced. The authority is invested with power to pass interim order. Therefore, with liberty to pray for interim order as well while preferring revision against the impugned order, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
