Respondent(s) PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent measure and issue a separate patta in respect of the property bearing Plot Nos. 95, Kathivakkam High Road, Korukkupet, Chennai-600 021 comprised in Survey No.1846/1 Korukkupet Village, Tondiarpet Taluk, Chennai District, and to lay survey stones in accordance with the boundaries described in the registered Sale Deed dated 01.12.2023 (Doc. No.4193 of 2023) and the registered Sale Deed 31.12.2024 (Doc. No.2 of 2025) on the file of the SubRegistrar Office, Royapuram, Chennai and consequently direct the 6th Respondent to extend necessary and adequate police protection/assistance to enable the 4th Respondent to carry out the survey measurement, and laying of survey stones without obstruction or interference from any third party including the 7th Respondent.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, and also to issue separate patta in
favour of the petitioner, based on his application dated 06.12.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Since the aforesaid application has not been considered by the respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. Mr.R.Venkatesa Perumal, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 6th respondent.
4. Since no adverse orders are passed against the 7th respondent, notice to the 7th respondent is dispensed with by this Court in this writ petition.
5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's application as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners including the 7th respondent as well as any third party as they deem fit.
6. Accordingly, this Court directs the 4th respondent to complete the survey and demarcation of boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's application, dated
06.12.2025, after giving due consideration to the documents produced by the petitioner, and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners, including the 7th respondent as well as any other third party, whom they deem fit to enquire. Thereafter, if the petitioner is found to be eligible, the 4th respondent shall issue separate patta for the sub-divided property in favour of the petitioner. The 4th respondent is directed to complete the aforesaid exercise, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the 4th respondent, the 6th respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order.
7. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
