ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. Challenge to the grant of patta to many persons in respect of the land allegedly situated in the village of the petitioner is on the ground that it is illegal and against the orders of the Government.

3. Learned State counsel would submit that, if the petitioner is aggrieved by grant of patta, the remedy lies in filing an appeal under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983.

4. With liberty to file appeal, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
