PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent pertaining to the order made in Memo No.1268/BCDFGISSSV/2024 dated 20.12.2024 in detaining the detenue under the Tamilnadu Act 14/1982 as a brand of Goonda and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue, the petitioner's son Karthik, son of Ravichandran aged 22 years who is detained at the central prison puzhal, Chennai before this court and set him at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.534, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 03.02.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands

dismissed as infructuous.
