By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The prayer in the writ petition is for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2021, requesting transfer of the petitioner in anyone of the vacancy in the fourth respondent district.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Assistant Horticultural Officer on 28.02.2011 and posted at Uthukuli, Tripur and when he was working there, he was again transferred to Panamarathupatti, Salem on 17.07.2013. While he was working on 11.11.2016, the petitioner was transferred to the office of the Assistant Director, Horticulture, Magudanchavadi, Salem District on administrative ground. The petitioner has completed 6 years of service in the present place and therefore, he is entitled to be considered for transfer and in this regard, he has made a representation to the respondents on 24.08.2021 requesting transfer to the vacant places at Ammapet or Andhiur or Cenimalai in Erode District and since no orders have been passed on the petitioner's representation, he has filed the present writ petition.
4. Mr.S.Prabhakaran, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
5. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing anything on merits, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2021 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say that the petitioner shall also furnish a copy of the representation dated 24.08.2021 along with this order to the first respondent.
