ORDER

The Additional Director General of Police, Economic Offence Wing, Chennai is suo motu added as the 4th respondent in this criminal original petition.

2.Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice on behalf of the impleaded 4th respondent.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that considering the nature of offence, the Director General of Police through proceeding dated 03.01.2024 has transferred the entire file to the Economic Offences Wing and has directed an Investigation Officer to be appointed to take up further investigation. The copy of the relevant proceedings was also produced before this Court. 4.In the light of the above discussion, this criminal original petition is closed for the present and there shall be a direction to the Economic Offences 2/4

Wing to proceed further with the investigation effectively and to file the final report, as expeditiously as possible. If the investigation does not progress satisfactorily, it will be left open to the petitioner to once again approach this Court and file an appropriate petition.
