Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur Division, to forthwith conduct a survey by appointing a competent surveyor, strictly on the basis of the existing revenue records, registered title deeds, and the patta approval dated 02.08.2025, in respect of the petitioner's property situated at Tiruttani Town Panchayat, Tiruttani Taluk, Thiruvallur District, comprised in Survey No.301/8 (formerly Survey No.301/7), measuring a total extent of 1320 square feet, and thereafter issue patta for the full and correct extent of 1320 square feet in favour of the petitioner, without any reduction, deviation or alteration, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to correct the patta No.5068 now standing in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. In the cause title to this writ petition, the petitioner has arrayed the officer of the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Tiruttani Taluk Office, viz., Mr.R.Devaraj as a party 3rd respondent. Since the name of Mr.R.Devaraj Page No.2 of 6

is unnecessary, the name of Mr.R.Devaraj is suo-motu removed by this Court and instead the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Tiruttani Taluk Office, Pattabiramapuram Lake, Tiruttani - 631 209, Tiruvallur District alone is arrayed as 3rd respondent in this writ petition. Registry is directed to carryout the necessary amendments in the cause title.

3. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. According to the petitioner, the extent of the land in the aforesaid patta is wrongly given and therefore, it has to be corrected. The petitioner had given a representation on 31.12.2025 to the respondents seeking for correction of the aforesaid patta by disclosing the correct extent of the land. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Page No.3 of 6

6. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.12.2025 seeking for correction of patta No.5068 by disclosing the correct extent of the land as prayed for in the petitioner's representation, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. While issuing the order copy to the parties, Registry is directed to remove the name of Mr.R.Devaraj and instead print Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Tiruttani Taluk Office, Pattabiramapuram Lake, Tiruttani - 631 209, Tiruvallur District alone as 3rd respondent in this writ petition.

9. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
