Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to cause production of the body and person of the petitioner's husband M.Srinivasan, S/o.Mallappa, aged about 65 years, before this Court and to set him at liberty.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court made by S.TAMILVANAN,J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner/wife of the detenu M.Srinivasan, S/o.Mallappa, aged about 65 years, to cause production of her husband, before this Court and to set him at liberty.

2.The alleged detenu is secured and produced before this Court by the first respondent police. The petitioner/wife of the detenu is also before us.

3.On enquiry, the detenu told us that he was illegally detained by somebody and that he was beaten up by them and that now he is willing to go along with his wife, who is also present before us. 4.Considering the submission made by the alleged detenu, we direct the first respondent to enquire the matter and to take appropriate action according to law, if there is any offence made out against any other person.
