Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authority to give permission to conduct Cultural Programme (Adal Padal) in the event of Ayakaranpulam III Sethi, Singankuthagai Arulmigu Sree Anthali Mariamman Temple Festival at Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District on 13.08.2018 between 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2018.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that in spite of the representation being given to the respondent on 02.08.2018 for conducting cultural programme in the Temple on 13.08.2018 between 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., the respondent has not passed orders till today.

4.A Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(MD).No.3773 of 2017 by order dated 03.03.2017, in similar circumstances, directed the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same.

5.Following the order passed by the Division Bench, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2018 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 11.08.2018.

With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
