PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd Respondent Inspector of Police, Sadras Police Station, Chengleput District to register a case based on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 13.09.2021.

O R D E R

This Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent Inspector of Police Station, Chengleput District to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 13.09.2021.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that on 13.09.2021, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent and since the second respondent has not taken action, the petitioner sent the complaint to the first respondent through post on 05.10.2021, but even the first respondent had also not chosen to take any action same and hence he filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has sent the complaint through post on 05.10.2021 and the veracity of the complaint has to be verified, for which the presence of the petitioner is very much required.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on instructions submitted that the petitioner is willing to appear before the second respondent on 09.02.2022.

5. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent on 09.02.2022 along with copy of the complaint and necessary documents and the respondent police shall conduct enquiry and complete the same,within a period of three weeks thereafter.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
