AWARD This appeal is preferred by the appellant Transport Corporation as
against the award dated 28.07.2010 passed by the Motor Vehicles Accidents Claims Tribunal, Fast Track Court, Ponneri, in M.C.O.P.No.245 of 2008.
2. The learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the appellant Transport Corporation agreed to satisfy the award passed by the Tribunal. In view of the same, the award of the Tribunal at Rs.1,72,000/-(Rupees One Lakh and Seventy Two Thousand only) with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of petition till the date of deposit, is hereby confirmed. 3.Hence, the appellant Transport Corporation is directed to deposit the entire award amount with interest and costs, after deducting the amount already deposited, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this award. On such deposit being made, the Tribunal is directed to transfer the same to the respondent/claimant, on proper identification through RTGS in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. 4.Accordingly, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of. Consequently, connected civil miscellaneous petition/s, if any, is/are closed. The Managing Director, Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation, Villupuram Division, Kanchipuram.
